When Is The Best Time to Brush?

added on: August 24, 2010
The best time to brush is just before you go to bed at night and when you first wake up in the morning. During the night our saliva flow almost shuts down. Saliva has natural antibacterial and anti-plaque agents in it which work all day long to decrease the risk for cavities. When the saliva flow decreases while you are sleeping is when you are most prone to cavities. This is why having your teeth the cleanest before you go to bed is most important. Brushing in the morning removes plaque and bacteria that builds up all night long. Tell me thoughts and comments.
